Already in Maastricht’s historic centre or staying on the west side of the River Maas? The route works just as well in reverse. Cross the Sint Servaasbrug into Wyck and explore the neighbourhood from the river towards Rechtstraat, Hoogbrugstraat and the station. Wyck is not only a pleasant route to the city centre, but a destination worth crossing the bridge for.

Start at Maastricht Central Station: Stationsstraat

Rather than taking the shortest route to the bridge, turn into Rechtstraat.

If you start at the station, the historic Sint Servaasbrug is a beautiful finish to your walk through Wyck before entering the old city centre. If you are already in the historic centre, simply reverse the route: cross the bridge and make Wyck your destination. It is an easy way to experience both sides of Maastricht without treating Wyck as merely somewhere to pass through.
